Our story part 2 #davesgym

Daves Gym Winnington.

As more men became interested in weight training , Dave obtained more and more rooms from the Youth club. The first Olympic bar was purchased and we now had a power room! We also took over the first floor of the building giving us changing rooms, showers, our first Sunbed and had a small Sauna.

We now also had a reception run by Joyce, with Karen and Neil opening up at a earlier time of 4pm after School.

As we entered the 80’s we introduced Ladies night’s on a Tuesday and Thursday which also became a great success!

Dave purchased a prefabricated building giving us more room to take exercise classes other than the small cellar. Fatigues a military style intense class lasting half an hour was a big hit. Before Reebok Step took the gym by storm!

We are extremely proud of the fact many members who joined us all those years ago still train with us today!!!
